Canvasland came up trumps late last year when the organisers of TVNZ's Top Town programme were looking for someone to design and manufacture inflatables for the obstacle courses used on the show.  The show was filmed in November 08 and we had two weeks to manufacture and design 60 inflatables in the tight time frame to get the job done.   It was essential that the airtight inflatables be constructed to perfection to ensure a quality and robust finish that would look good on screen and yet be able to handle the hard knocks they would endure during filming.  A number of our welding systems and manufacturing techniques made sure the of the strength of the inflatables was upto standard.  Our designer was charged with the task to create innovative patterns and designs to ensure our products could withstand the ruggard use they would get and exceeded our clients expectations. Tahiti Bound Coke Bottle

It was a daunting task, but we said "yes".  Our client was looking for a 4mtr high inflatable Coke bottle which is due to be used at an event in Tahiti this week.  We had one week to design, print and manufacture the inflatable in time for a departing flight over the weekend.  The bottle has been manufactured from a light weight PVC to help reduce the bulk and allow for a small packed down size.  An internally fitted electric blower is used to inflate the structure which can be plugged into a standard household wall socket or a small generator if being used at an outdoor event.  The graphics have been digitally applied to ensure a sharp looking logo.

One Giant Penguin

Yet another "urgent" project thrown at us was this giant 5mtr high penguin. The penguin will be used as a major promotional tool for our client and will feature most weekends outside our clients front door. A unique light weight material was used, which not only allows for a quick and easy inflation but also provides a very good painting surface. The structure was manufactured in a plain white material which was air brushed to bring the penguin to life. The penguin was only one of many elements that completed this project that was needed within a 1 week turnaround.
