Hi

Welcome to another Canvasland newsletter.  Looking out the office window towards the Tarararua Ranges, I see them caked in snow.  The news is reporting on the torrential rain and cold winds whipping around the Capital City.  Believe it or not, it is actually spring!

Despite the unseasonal weather, we had a very strong response from the Wellington Home and Garden Show where we displayed a range of sun and weather protection products.  Lateral Arm Awnings are proving to be a popular product for those wanting a versatile shade system for their outdoor entertaining areas.  These awnings are custom made and installed to your home and can come up to 6.0mtrs in width with up to a 3.0mtr projection.

A manual crank handle gear box is easy to use and operate the awning from.  Alternatively a remote control system makes it just that much easier, and gives you the option to add on electronic wind, rain or sun sensors so you can get the most use out of your awning.

The two awnings seen in the above photo were recently instored on a beach front home in Kapiti.  The client is ecstatic with the outcome and enjoys the fact he can have them project to whatever distance needed to provide shade over the deck.  "The awnings are unobtrusive and add to the look of the home.  They're a perfect solution for our deck!"

Darts Anyone?

The Canvasland Inflatables Division have been kept busy with a number of projects during the past month.  This inflatable dart board was deemed to be one of the more fun projects to work on.  The inflatable structure was manufactured from a light weight nylon cloth and fitted with a small electric blower fixed to the inside.

The face of the dart board was digitally printed and is a seperate component which velcros onto the inflatable structure.  This allows for other print designs, games or logos to be used on the inflatable if need be.

Velcro was sewn onto the face of the dart board so giant foam filled darts could be thrown at the board.
