Hi

Even windmills need a break from the wind.  Foxton's traditional "De Molen" windmill is fast becoming an icon of the Manawatu region.  A museum is based inside the windmill and is open to the public most days of the week.  In keeping with the traditional windmill design and look, barn style doors are used as the main entrance into the museum.  Our client wanted to be able to have the barn doors open to invite the public in, and yet stay warm and keep the winter chill out.  Solution - Canvasland installed a custom made aluminium framed doorway which was covered in a clear PVC.  The clear panels allow the barn doors to remain open to the public.  The frame is fitted with spring bolts to provide our client with the flexibility to remove the complete unit during the summer months.

Rikshaw Canopy

A local cycle shop has designed a new generation rikshaw based around a mountain bike frame and components.  This eye catching trike needed a touch of the traditional with the inclusion of a canvas canopy to cover the passengers seats.  A collapsable aluminium frame was custom designed and fitted and an acrylic canvas canopy made to complete the rikshaw.

Good Luck Bar - Asteral T Umbrella's

The Good Luck Bar in Cuba Mall, Wellington was looking for more space for their patrons. With the help from the local council, permission was granted to allow a portion of the mall area to be dedicated to the bar during it's opening hours. The owners of the bar were looking for a versatile solution to provide cover and a unique area where patrons can enjoy "a couple of quites, and a wee natter" outside of the bar itself.

Three 4M X 4M Asteral T umbrellas were installed in the courtyard area created for the bar. The umbrellas have been fitted with a canvas gutter system that is installed between each unit when they are up, providing a water proof roof shelter. Radiating heaters can be fitted to the frame of the umbrellas so the courtyard can be used during the cool Wellington nights.  The Asteral T umbrellas are designed around a telescopic winding system which makes for a quick and easy pack down during the day when the bar is closed.
