Hi

Crocodile Run Pool Inflatable

Pool Inflatables are a major part of Canvasland’s business and have proven to be big attractions at a number of pool facilities around New Zealand, Australia and Asia. This Crocodile Run was taking a cool dip at the Horowhenua Aquatic Centre before heading to the warmer waters of Penrith.

NZDF Finishing Chute

This finishing chute was recently completed for the Ohakea Air Base and will be used for a number of in house competitions. The chute was manufactured from a light weight Oxford cloth and was inflated with an internally fitted fan. Because of the compact fan and light fabric used the chute is easily transportable between events and quick and simple to inflate.

Tiny Town Bouncy Castle

This modified bouncy castle was a concept designed by the team at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre in Wellington. Tiny Town will be used at a variety of school holiday events at the rec centre and is certain to bring hours of fun and laughter to many young ones who will be able to explore around the trees, hoops and slide inside.

DOC Wellington Sun Screen

We were asked by DOC in Wellington to provide a shade solution for their third floor office, to stop sun glare in the afternoon. The screen was to be able to be easily retracted, and be manufactured from natural fibres.
Two tensioned parallel wires were installed for the awning to run on. These were set into the concrete pillars with a chemical anchor and run through the centre beam and tensioned.
As the glass roof was UV cut, we used natural cotton canvas which was attached to the wire via an eyelet and shackle which allowed it to slide smoothly. At the driving end of the screen we used aluminium and bearings to guide the awning down the wires and to stop it twisting when pulled. The aluminium was designed on cad and cut out with a water jet machine, the bearing holes were slotted so we could adjust the bearings on site to suit the wire width. A pulley system was also designed and installed to allow for easy opening and closing of the shade screen.
