Hi So where has this year gone?
Christmas is only a week away. We have seen a lot of ups and downs and no one can deny that this has been a challenging year. Few businesses have been unscathed by the impact of the recession, some more so than others. As a business I believe we can consider 2009 to have been a success from a perspective that we have not only survived, but have invested and grown.
This year we have worked hard to bring further enhancements to our LANcare proactive services. We are now doing over 15,000 automated proactive tasks on customer servers and workstations every week and monitoring on average over 30 different alarm and trending conditions across our client networks. We are also now performing over 70% of our support activity by remote control. Our greatest challenge has been in demonstrating the value of LANcare to our clients as we are seldom seen and customers are unaware of all the work done behind the scenes. So in 2010 our objective is to better communicate the work being done and the benefits of LANcare by providing better reporting on the state of your systems and the value added by the LANtech SLA.
We have also invested heavily in our hosting environment of vOffice in 2009 with new equipment and new provisioning software. We were one of the first in the country to offer desktop application hosting and have over 3 years of successful operation in the 'Cloud'. Watch this space as we make announcements about our new enhanced 'Cloud' services in 2010.
On behalf of the LANtech team, I would like to thank you for your custom in 2009 and look forward to working with you in 2010, I'm sure it will be a great and prosperous year for us all.
Wishing you and your families a very merry Xmas and a fantastic New Year.”
Until next year,
P McQuinlan
Managing Director
